What better way to celebrate democracy and change than an all-night bash at BIA?
And that’s precisely what we did on Tuesday, Nov. 4th 2008.  On all fronts, the BIA Election Party was a smashing success! After getting the permit from the Préfecture du 5ème arrondissement allowing us to be open all night, we took full advantage of it with a party that lasted until well past 6am!
The crowds were unbelieveable — thanks mostly to articles in the International and French Press who put us right up there with the Paris institution, Harry’s Place, as a place to gather for the elections.  Our latest count shows that we were in at least a dozen newspapers and magazines, and as many TV and radio reports.
Here are some highlights from this unforgettable evening!
A TV crew from France 3 films the early evening crowds as they start lining up
outside BIA 1.
Crowds gather around the bar in the early morning hours as the first election
results start coming in.
The crowds wait in anticipation for President-elect Barack Obama’s speech.
Sleep deprived, Craig and Cameron are whisked off to Virgin radio to do a live
broadcast at 8am with French celebrity, Cauet.
Cameron & Craig share breakfast with Cauet & Company.
